The Order of Merit 2020, the prestigious career awards given to Italian bartenders who have distinguished themselves for their professionalism abroad, have been delivered.

Order of Merit 2020 was a special edition. Fault of the difficult moment related to the Covid-19.
And maybe even for that, I’m waiting longer than usual.

 

Postponed already twice in the course of 2020, it eventually aired live streaming on the Facebook page and Youtube channel of Order of Merit, from one of the cozy rooms of the Splendid by Zacchera Hotels in Baveno, on the Piedmontese side of Lake Maggiore.

The prestigious award given to the Italian bartenders who have distinguished themselves for their professionalism abroad, was entrusted in the hands of two exceptional presenters: the well-known food and wine journalist Giovanni Angelucci and the President of IBA (International Bartenders Association) Giorgio Fadda.

The creator of the Order of Merit, Danilo Bellucci, after a life as a public relations officer in Philip Morris, already started awarding this type of recognition in the world of golf, when Merit organized his important international dedicated circuit, then decided to decline it in the world of Mixology.

 

 

“It’s not a race because we have too many races! It is an honor to merit, the signatures in the world of cocktail bars are different and numerous, some very famous, but there is still little talk about others,” Bellucci emphasizes.

Professionalism and talent have no borders, and it was so that thanks to the work of the communication and marketing agency Strixia by Andrea Fasola Ardizzoia, it was able to connect with all the winners from every part of Italy and the world: from Las Vegas to Miami, from Switzerland to Germany, passing through Gran Canaria, Rome, Milan, Abruzzo, Courmayeur, Stresa, Capri and Montecatini Terme.

An important proclamation not only for the protagonists involved but for the world of mixing everything, because the assignment of the Order of Merit certainly has a high value to the merit recognized, but it is also luster for a sector that is so loved in the world.

“The symbol of the Order of Merit is a beacon, so dear to my soul, that it wants to represent a dream, a trajectory, a light that follows and will be followed.  I believed, I believe and I will believe in bartenders, nothing less but more and more.
